I haven't been much of a blogger lately. My life has been becoming less about thinking/writing and more about doing. Furthermore, I think I've analyzed most of the queer-related topics that are of concern to me. And while I will always identify as a purse-hating gay girl who gets nervous around girls with mohawks who work at health food stores, I think I've entered a different phase:
I kinda hate The L Word.
I think Shane/Katherine Moennig is hot, but too skinny. And all that smoking is starting to catch up to her.
KC and Elka are...?
I'm in love with a boy.
Consequently, I will be blogging more here about whatever comes to mind.

RIP?
Sigh. I don't know about this blog anymore. I've been writing in it on and off for over two years now. I feel like I've put most queer topics of interest under the microscope.
And Kelka will be posting their last few podcasts sometime in the near future. The final goodbye is getting closer. It's pretty fucking sad.
So is the fact that I didn't even have the desire to watch the very last hour of The L Word. The first half of the finale was pretty crappy. I don't want to waste more time on an insult to the art of television.
Lastly, I don't find Shane as hot and charismatic as she used to be. I feel like this is a sign.
I feel like I should keep blogging, but I'm not sure if it should be here. This is a GAY blog. Can I write, gasp, non-gay stuff here? I could to prove that I don't mentally compartmentalize everything. But if I feel the need to prove it, then that probably means that my case is weak.
Maybe I'll give it a try.

Point
Only the people you love and let in can really do something shitty to you. And if you can never forgive someone for doing something shitty to you, you're never going to have people in your life that you love for long. Because eventually, everybody does something shitty to someone they love. And a long-term relationship is basically a just a banged-up old car after 30 or 40 years.

Note to Self
In the near future, I hope to comment on the following two quotes:
"I mean men bore me. If one of them behaves like anadult it's cause for celebration, and even when they do act human, they still aren't as good as women in bed."-Molly Bolt (I saw this quote on Green's forum profile)
"Bisexuality is more natural as transgenderism."-Alice Pieszecki

Sucker
So I finally saw Juno. It wasn't as good as the hype, and I felt like Juno's character was a bit overdone. But it was sweet and had funny moments. And Ellen Page is SO cute. She's so tiny and adorable in hoodies. I'd even take her in flannel.
Yum.
I am forcing myself to stop blogging for a week.

One Year
I watched the season finale. There's a lot to say, but I'll save it for tomorrow.
Today is the one year anniversary of my blog. I'm happy to have kept it up for this long. I love writing here, and I've learned a lot. Being the nerd that I am, I was hoping to celebrate by having some queer friends over to have some intellectual queer discussion. Hopefully something like that will happen in the near future.
In the meantime I am ironically falling like a bag of bricks for the cutest, smartest boy ever. How is THAT for an old man analogy? So much for being detached. I am quite sure that there is a lot of disappointment and heartbreak in the future, but I'm not going to be all Shane about it. Whatever happens, I can bear it.

Random
- It's really annoying to have a class with a cute girl who has a "try too-hard-to-be-cute" and "I'm-going-to-advertise-my-insecurities" type of personality. I hate it when attractive people ruin their looks the second they open their mouths.
- I get compliments on my voice. From queer people. My voice is queer-dar. It's not super deep, but it's not high either. I feel like the way I talk is one of the biggest indicators that I'm gay. Is it bad that I know how to manipulate it for different audiences?
- I've been listening to a lot of The Blow lately. Their music has been growing on me. I'm guessing the singer is bi since she sings love songs about both males and females. I have a crush on her style of singing and songwriting. She's all laidback, poetic, and sexy.
- I had to laugh when Kelka talked about how they don't know anyone who enjoys giving blowjobs at the very end of 508. I will say that I do know people who do. I will also admit that I fall into this category (it's one of those big indicators of my bisexuality). I also had to laugh when (a while ago) they asserted that no female, gay or straight, is averse to oral stimulation. Sadly, I've known a handful of straight girls who are too self-conscious.

Dee-licious
Natalie Portman has a brief role in The Darjeeling Limited. And in this brief role, she is somewhat comfortable with partial nudity (although it's not as hot as what she did in Closer).
And she looks SO FUCKING HOT with boy hair. She is quite the yummy one; I was mentally drooling.

Thank Kelka
I was giggling at work this week as I listened to the two, new, awesome Kelka podcasts. I love that feeling of laughing out loud in public and looking like a weirdo.
There totally should be a Kelka pride parade. And then a dance party afterwards. And a part of me totally wants to fly to Albuquerque during Pride to possibly see what they look like and party with other Kelkians.
In light of this holiday, I want to say that I seriously am grateful to them for their humor and confidence; it's contagious and much-needed.
I was mental blogging in my sleep for this blog. How nerdy am I? And I remember having a good post idea, but I have no idea what it is now. I'm surprised I've maintained this blog for so long.
Posting shall resume on Monday. Happy Thanksgiving break!

Duh?
A few months ago, my friend (Jane) was telling me about a male friend of hers (Jack) who is about our age and is still a virgin. I immediately wondered if he was in the closet or religious. She thought this too, and she assured me that he wasn't; he just insisted he hadn't met anyone whom he connected with. She said, "It [male virgins] happens more often than you'd think." I shrugged, agreed, and forgot about it.
A while later Jane informed me that Jack had a serious girlfriend and that he no longer was a virgin. In my head, I said, "Congratulations," and then I forgot about it.
A while later, Jane told me about a conversation with Jack that went a little something like this:
Jane: So, how's your girlfriend?
Jack: We broke up.
Jane: What?! Why?
Jack: It just wasn't working.
Jane: Well didn't you have fun during that trip you took to Europe together?
Jack: Yes, we did...
Jane: So, what was the problem? Really, you can tell me.
Jack: We just aren't..compatible..
Jane: You seemed so in love with her.
Jack: I was, but..
Jane: Was it a sex thing?
Jack: Sorta...
Jane:...
Jack: I'm gay.
Jane: Buh?
My friend reenacted the look of dumbfounded shock on her face, and it looked a little something like this.
You would think that queer people would have above average gaydar, but that's not always the case.

Unnatural? I Think Not
I'm sure most people have heard about the gay flamingos, but I'd figure I'd link to it anyways.
Here's an article about a museum exhibit about homosexuality and bisexuality in nature.
I'm clearly getting a bit lazy about blogging.

It Doesn't Get Any More Fluid Than This
I was kinda lazy with the Kelka/"L Word" quote of the day today. I'm making up for this by providing a link to an almost all-encompassing FAQ regarding lesbian stereotypes.
I couldn't tell you if it's 100% accurate, but there seems to be some truth behind most of what's written there.
