Oh my God. I was cleaning out my room, and I happened to find a bunch of Xena tapes and DVD's. I remembered my adolescent obsession with that show. I then recalled all the lesbian subtext. And gawking at Lucy Lawless and Hudson Leick. How could I not have known that I am SUCH a queer? (Not to mention a nerd).
It's just amusing when you look back on all the little signs, and it all clicks in your head to add up to one resounding, cumulative statement: DUH!

lol I love Xena ;) I have the entire show on DVD boxsets (bought them about 3 years ago) so that probably makes me more of a nerd than you. I'm not a lesbian, but I have this "thing" for Lucy Lawless that I can't explain. (I guess you can be heterosexual and have a "thing" for some girls. Makes sense right?) I like Hudson Leick too, although I think she's kind of over-rated with some people, being a blonde and skinny. However I rather see them go at it than Xena and Gabrielle, who I never cared for. (Maybe its the combination of insanity, bad ass-ness and leather?)
And I plan to continue my notoriety as a geek by purchasing "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" on DVD from a German Amazon.com import mainly so I can see Kimberly Hart/Amy Jo Johnson again. I had a girl crush on her when I was young, and she made gymnastics especially appealing lol.
LOL!
I can see how Callisto is overrated; blondes actually aren't my type. But her character was so hilarious and sexy. I love the likable bad guy.
I think Xena and Gabrielle complemented each other, so I liked them. But Xena and Callisto did have a lot of energy that could have been channeled through some hot, badass sex.
I liked Power Rangers at one point too...in fourth grade.
LOL, I never got into Xena, but come to think of it, I think my mom watched that show. I think I'm going to have to have a talk with her.
HAHAH! Your MOM watched Xena! Too funny!
